Cub Scout Pack 1011
Indiana, Pennsylvania
Annual Events
Here are a list of events and activities that Pack 1011 participates in each year. They are listed in the order which they normally occur.

List of Events
Fall Campout
The pack attempts to get at least a one night campout scheduled sometime in the fall before the cold weather sets in. All camping is in accordance with Scouting America policy, as spelled out in the Guide to Safe Scouting.
Parades
The pack normally marches in the Veteran's Day parade and walks or has a float in the Holiday parade.
Pinewood Derby
Early each year, usually in January, the Pack has a Pinewood Derby race. The Pack provides each Scout with a Pinewood Derby kit at the December pack meeting, approximately one month before the Derby. Each Scout (with the help of their parents) designs and builds their car from the materials included in the kit. Each car must meet very specific rules (including weight and size requirements) and be built from the official Pinewood Derby kit. The official rules for the Pack 1011 Derby are distributed to each scout with the Pinewood Derby kit. The cars are judged for speed across several races. There are also awards voted on for categories such as 'Fastest Looking Car' and 'Best Body Design'. Participating scouts may also be eligible to earn the racing adventure loop or pin for their rank.
Blue and Gold Banquet
Each year the Cub Scouts celebrate the anniversary of the founding of Scouting in the U.S. by having a Blue and Gold Banquet typically during the month of February. The entire family is encouraged to attend and may be asked to provide a dish to share with the other Pack families. This is generally when our Arrow of Light scouts cross over in to a Scouts BSA troop.
Den Promotion
At our May pack meeting, we have an outdoor ceremony, usually at Camp Seph Mack, to move our scouts from their current den level to their next level. As part of this ceremony, the scouts are presented with the neckerchief and slide for their upcoming rank.
Summer Activities
Instead of regular den and pack meetings over the summer other events are scheduled. These could include Council Day and Resident Camps, bike rides, hikes and swimming. The events and activities usually vary from year-to-year and will be announced in advance.
